The Royal Golf & Country Club
This is a flat course with many holes that involve water. The course is over 7,100 yards long, and water hazards and bunkers are strategically placed, so accurate shots as well as long driving distances are required. There are also many dogleg holes, adding variety. The view from the restaurant in the clubhouse is also spectacular.
Suvarnabhumi Golf & Country Club (North+East Course)
Formerly known as President Country Club, the course features 36 holes, consisting of the West South Course and the North East Course, spread across a flat terrain. The fairways are relatively wide, and the trees separating each hole are small and few in number, giving the course a somewhat rough feel, but the water hazards are cleverly placed, making for many strategic holes. All of the par 3s in particular are excellent, making for a highly refined layout.
Suvarnabhumi Golf & Country Club (West+South Course)
Formerly known as President Country Club, the West-South and North-East courses are spread out over a flat terrain with a total of 36 holes. The fairways are relatively wide, and the trees separating each hole are small and few in number, giving it a somewhat rough feel, but the water hazards are cleverly placed, making for many strategic holes. The nine holes on the South course were built in 1993, just like the North-East course, but the nine holes on the West course were opened in 2002. The West-South course is about 200 yards longer than the North-East course, and the greens are faster.
This course has a flat terrain with ponds and water hazards on most holes. Until 2005, this course was known as Panya Park. It consists of 27 holes, A, B, and C courses, designed by Ronald Fream and opened in 1993, and 9 holes, D course, designed by Windsor Park Design Inc. and opened in 2005. The AB course is used more often for tournaments, but the CD course is more challenging.
This flat golf course was called Natural Park Ramindra until 2003. It is impressive that very long fairway bunkers (sandy west) that resemble ponds can be seen on many holes, which is a characteristic of Jack Nicklaus designed courses. The placement of water hazards is also exquisite, making it a highly strategic layout.
This is a flat golf course with a total of 36 holes. There is the Old Course and the New Course, both of which are suitable for beginners. The New Course is shorter and easier.
This golf course has 27 holes, with ponds and bunkers strategically placed on a flat site, and three courses, A, B, and C. Course A has 9 holes, and 8 of them have ponds, making it a long and interesting layout. The fairway is also undulated, and second and third shots are often made from tricky lies. Overall, it is a challenging layout.
A flat and stately course surrounded by large trees. It has been famous since 1975, when the World Cup was first held in Asia, and is considered a prestigious course in Thailand. Until it opened in 1973, Thailand did not have a full-fledged golf course that met international standards. The fairway is a mix of wide and narrow, with trees lined on both sides. Water is involved in six of the 18 holes, and the waterside holes 5, 6, and 9 are particularly beautiful.
The placement of bunkers is also excellent, with many strategic holes. However, there are also a fair number of normal straight holes, and the overall impression is of an easy miniature garden course. The beautiful course design is in perfect harmony with the splendid trees, pretty flowers, and well-maintained shrubs, and it takes less than four hours to complete 18 holes, which is rare in Thailand, making play extremely comfortable. As it is close to the city center, transportation is convenient, and it is one of the best courses for relaxing golf. The Thailand Cup was also held here in 1999.
