Many holes have narrow fairways and hazards on both sides, making it a challenge for beginners and intermediate players, but for advanced players who can hit accurately, the short distances make it not that difficult. The old trees that existed before the development and the new trees that decorate the course give each hole an artistic beauty. It is a rare two-green system in Thailand. The two greens are not the small greens that are often seen on Japanese courses, but rather large, 40 yards long on each hole, and have severe undulations. There is a right green on Saturdays and a left green on Sundays. The right green is 7,270 yards long, and a little more difficult than the left green, which is 7,070 yards long.

As the course is named St. Andrews, it is inspired by Scottish links and is a wild course for intermediate to advanced players. Each hole has a different feel, and you can enjoy the challenge of the designer of each hole and the natural environment unique to links. Located near the west coast of Thailand (2,120m above sea level), this course is located on the most beautiful and dramatic plateau of any golf course in Thailand. Formerly known as Soi Dao Highland GC, the course is surrounded by jungle-covered mountains and winds through relatively flat hills among stately old trees, untouched rainforest, calm ponds and streams, and beautiful flowers. There are two loops, the OUT loop stretches out counterclockwise and returns on the same route at the 5th. The IN loop unfolds clockwise on a larger site. There are no flat areas except for the tee shot, as it goes over and down several hills. Not only is it beautiful, but each hole is unique and strategic. Redesigned by Piraborn Namah in 2015, the OUT and IN loops were also reversed, all the greens were reshaped, the bunkers were moved, and new bunkers were installed, especially around the greens. The FW loop was changed on about three holes, and the course drainage was improved. These upgrades have made the course even better. The green complex (the shape of the green and the entire area around the green, including the bunkers) is particularly amazing. I played here before the 2007 remodel, but many of the holes are more impressive after the remodel. The course hosts the Thai Men's PGA Tour from 2018 to 2020, and I heard that many professionals like to play here. The course is close to the Cambodian border and is far from Bangkok and Pattaya, but it is equipped with a hotel, so you can stay overnight and play at your leisure, and it is a full-fledged championship course in a natural environment.

The course is built around four ponds, and water hazards are involved on 12 holes. While the other Old and Plantation courses at Siam CC have ups and downs, this course is mostly flat. The greens are large and par is relatively easy, so the quality of your putts will have a big impact on your score.
