サンティブリ カントリー クラブ チェンライ

Santiburi Country Club Chiangrai Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai

This is a hilly course. Many of the holes have wide landing areas, but the fairways are narrowed by rough on both sides, so accurate shots are required.

The out and in courses have different characteristics. The first half is on a gentle slope and water is involved in seven of the nine holes. However, the second half has strategically placed water hazards on only two holes, the 17th and 18th, but the other seven holes weave around forested hills.

One of the characteristics of this course is that there are few back-to-back greens, and many greens slope to either the left or right. Both the fairways and greens are well maintained.

Course Introduction

  • Santiburi Country Club Chiangrai
  • Santiburi Country Club Chiangrai

A straight and long par 5. The tee shot and second shot are gently downhill. The landing spot for the second shot is narrow because the fairway width is narrowed by rough on both sides, and the bunker in front of the green is in play.

A beautiful hole with a steep dogleg to the left. The tee shot is over a pond and requires a 250 yard carry to get over the bunker in the left corner. The green is guarded by bunkers on both sides as well as a pond on the left. The green slopes from right to left.

This is a nearly straight hole with a pond on the entire left side. The fairway is tight, and a gaping bunker awaits you on the right side 240 yards from the tee. The pond cuts into the green in front of it, and the right half of the green is surrounded by ponds, so accuracy is required for the second shot. Be careful as the pond in front of the green will be semi-blind on your second shot. The green backs to the side.

A slight dogleg to the right. A large tree on the right and a group of trees on the left come into play on the tee shot. If you hit to the right side in particular, the large tree will make your second shot stymy, and you will likely not be able to get on in regulation. The second shot requires you to go over a creek, and if you slice it too much, it will end up in the pond on the right. The third shot is a little uphill, vertically long and narrow, sloping from right to left. Hit towards the green.

It is a short, straight hole with a green swung to the left. From the tee, the fairway slopes from right to left, and the bunkers in the middle of the fairway are 230 yards away. The front of the green faces a pond, so the second shot requires an accurate carry. The green is small, and the layout is similar to the 4th.

A beautiful dogleg hole to the right. The tee shot is 230 yards into the bunker in front of the right corner. The second shot is a gentle uphill shot, and it is best to avoid the deep bunker guarding the right side of the green. The green is long and slopes from right to left.

  • Santiburi Country Club Chiangrai

A short hole over a pond. Bunkers are placed at the front and back of the green. The green stretches at an angle and borders the pond on its front and right sides.

A signature hole. A great double dogleg par 5. It first curves left and then right. On the tee shot, there is a pond on the left, and on the second shot, there is a pond on the right. The second shot requires you to go over a creek, and the third shot over a pond. The green is two-tiered, with a pond and bunker in front, and if you go over the green, it's difficult to make a return approach, so an accurate third shot is required.
