Course Introduction

  • Mountain Creek Golf Resort & Residences

This is a short, downhill shot. There are bunkers on both sides of the green, and some large rocks in front. The green is long and two-tiered, sloping down to the back.

  • Mountain Creek Golf Resort & Residences

A very long middle hole with a slight dogleg to the left. The second shot is slightly uphill, and you hit towards an elevated green. The green is wide, not very deep, and slopes to the left. To get on in par, both the tee shot and the second shot require distance and accuracy. If you get par, it's a hole that's just as satisfying as a birdie.

A dogleg downhill shot to the right. The fairway bunkers on both sides come into play on the tee shot. If you use a wood on the second shot, the fairway is very narrow, so it's important to decide which club to use and where to land the ball. There is a bush to the left of the green, and bunkers on the left and right. A wonderful view of the valley spreads out far ahead from the second shot.

A slight dogleg to the right with a steep downhill shot. The fairway is divided into four by bushes and a meandering creek. Use a driver for the tee shot, and aim for the second fairway, which is a very small target and therefore risky. If successful, you can aim for a two-on. To play safely, it is a good idea to carve your tee shot into the first fairway on the right, and then carve your second shot into the third fairway sandwiched between the creeks. This will allow your third shot to go over a flat creek. The green backs to the green.

  • Mountain Creek Golf Resort & Residences

A short shot over a creek, with three trees between the tee and the green, which can make it difficult to hit. The green is long and narrow, with two tiers.

A long, slightly downhill shot. A double dogleg that curves to the right and then to the left. The tee shot has a bunker on the left and a long stone wall on the right, making the landing area narrow, and the landing area for the second shot is also tight. There is a small pond in front of the green, and the third shot has to go over the pond.

A downhill dogleg to the left. Be careful of the bushes on both sides of the tee shot. The green is guarded by bunkers on both sides. The green slopes from side to side.

A beautiful short hole. There is a large tree to the right of the green, making it difficult for draw hitters. The green is three-tiered, with the lowest point being at the back left. The front half of the green is not very wide, and there are bunkers on both sides, making it the most difficult when the pin is positioned close to the hole.

Short of the island green, the right club choice is important.
