ミッション ヒルズ ゴルフ クラブ カンチャナブリー

Mission Hills Golf Club Kanchanaburi Kanchanaburi

A challenging course that makes good use of ponds and bunkers in the flat countryside. Each hole is separated by a pond and palm trees. One of the features is that many holes have extremely long fairway bunkers (sandy west) that resemble ponds. For a Jack Nicklaus design, the greens are small, so accurate approach shots are required.

Course Introduction

A short hole over a pond. The green is long and narrow, and the front and left sides of the green face the pond. There is also a bunker perfectly placed at the back of the green, and if you aim for the right side to avoid the water, you will be caught in this bunker.

A beautiful dogleg left hole with a pond on the left that stretches to the front of the green.

This hole is a slight dogleg to the right with the entire right side being covered by water. The tee shot is a double fairway splitting into left and right, and the higher fairway on the left offers a better view of the layout, including the hazards leading up to the green. The bunkers guarding the green come into play.

A short hole over a pond. The right side of the long green faces the pond. It's not that far, so it's safe to aim for the left half of the green. If the pin is on the right and you aim directly, even a slight slice will get you caught in the pond.

A great dogleg right hole with two different routes to attack off the tee, with the creek providing two fairways on either side, the left being the safer option.

A slight dogleg to the right. A 230-yard carry is required to get over the deep bunker in the right corner. This is the best route, and it makes it easier to aim for the green on the second shot. If you hit your tee shot to the left side of the fairway, the second shot will be more difficult, as it will have to go over a large bunker guarding the left side of the green.

A slight dogleg to the left. 220 yards from the tee to the left, it is sandy west and faces a lake on the left side of the fairway. There are trees on the right side, so an accurate tee shot is required. The second shot is over the lake, and you need to avoid not only the lake but also the bunkers in front and behind the green, so choosing the right club is important.

A relatively short dogleg hole to the left. The tee shot is over Sandy West, where a bunker guards the left side of the fairway. The second shot is to hit onto an island green surrounded by water. The green is small and a little nerve-wracking, but it's an easy hole to get a birdie on as you can aim for the green with a wedge or something similar.
