シルキー オーク カントリー クラブ

Silky Oak Country Club Rayong Chanthaburi

The course is built around four ponds, and water hazards are involved on 12 holes. While the other Old and Plantation courses at Siam CC have ups and downs, this course is mostly flat. The greens are large and par is relatively easy, so the quality of your putts will have a big impact on your score. The guard bunkers and ponds around the greens make it more strategic, but as long as the tee ground you play from is not too far away, it's not that difficult.

Course Introduction

A gently uphill dogleg to the right. The tee shot requires a 180-200 yard carry over a pond. There is a pond on the left for both the tee shot and the second shot. The green has one deep bunker on the front left and one on the right.

A difficult dogleg to the left. The tee shot is over a pond, and requires a 190-yard carry. Be careful of the pond on the left for both the tee shot and the second shot. The third shot is a slight uphill shot over the pond. The green is relatively small and slopes forward. It is guarded by a deep bunker on the left and another bunker on the right.

A short hole over a valley. There is a steep downward slope in front of the green and a deep bunker on the front left, so you must land your shot directly onto the green. The long green slopes to the right and is guarded by three bunkers.

A short, long hole with a dogleg to the right. The tee shot is a spectacular downhill shot over a dry creek. The right side of the green is surrounded by ponds, so you must decide whether to aim for the green on your second shot or chip in front of the pond. There is also a deep bunker just before the green.

A double dogleg hole that curves left and then right. The tee shot is over a pond, which is on the left of the fairway. The second shot is a slight uphill shot, with the pond on the left and the hill on the right coming into play. The green is long and narrow, facing a pond on the left, and the right side of the green is guarded entirely by one long bunker. There is also a bunker on the front left side of the green.

A strong uphill hole. There is a deep bunker in front of the green, and both sides of the green slope steeply downwards. The green slopes sharply from side to side.

A dogleg hole that curves almost at a right angle to the left. The tee shot is a steep downhill shot, requiring a carry of about 220 yards. The second shot is a gentle uphill shot. The green is long and has rough sloping downwards on the left side.

A long hole that curves from side to side. Both the tee shot and the second shot are downhill. The second shot is over the creek, but average hitters will have to decide whether to go over the creek or to hit it in front. The third shot from just before the creek is about 200 yards away from the green. The green is elevated and there are two guard bunkers on the right.
