カビン ブリー スポーツ クラブ

Kabin Buri Sport Club Chachoengsao

A flat parkland course spread across a countryside rich in nature. All 18 holes involve water hazards such as ponds and creeks. The fairway is relatively wide, so it is moderately difficult despite the long distances and many water hazards. There are many dogleg holes, which is nice, and the grass is generally well-groomed, with both the fairway and greens being well-maintained and fast. Although it is flat, the fairway has subtle undulations. The par 3s are of a normal level, but the par 4s and par 5s have many strategic holes.

Course Introduction

A strong dogleg to the right. There is a pond on the right off the tee shot and bunkers on both sides of the green.

A long shot that curves to the right from the second shot. The tee shot is straight. The second shot is over a pond, with a pond on the left and trees on the right, making the fairway tight. The green is guarded by three bunkers. The woods behind the green are beautiful.

This hole curves at a right angle to the left. The pond on the left side comes into play for both the tee shot and the second shot. The green is long and narrow, surrounded by two bunkers and trees.

A beautiful short shot. There are ponds in front and on the right side of the green, and bunkers on the left and back. The green is long and slopes from side to side.

This is a short shot with a green nestled in a grove of trees. There are two bunkers on the green, with the one guarding the front from the left side being particularly effective.

A long double dogleg that curves to the right and then to the left. The pond on the right side is involved on both the tee shot and the second shot. The tee shot is over the pond, and the two bunkers on the left side are also in play on the second shot. The green is long and narrow and guarded by four bunkers.

A difficult hole that curves almost 90 degrees to the left. There is a pond on the left for the tee shot, and the second shot must go over the pond. The slightly elevated green is guarded by two bunkers and a pond on the left side.

A strong dogleg to the left. On the tee shot, there is a pond on the left and a hazard on the right. On the second shot over the pond, beware of the deep bunker guarding the front and left side of the green. The green is backed by a long, elevated bunker. There is also one bunker on the left side and one at the back of the green.

A tough middle course with a steep dogleg to the left. The tee shot is over a pond, and you need to carry 230 yards (from the black tee). Be careful of the pond on the left side of the fairway. The second shot is also over a pond. The green is slightly backed and guarded by four bunkers.

Trivia

It is about 2 hours 30 minutes west of Bangkok and about 2 hours northeast from Suvarnabhumi Airport. Visitors can play here. There is a lodge attached to the course, so I stayed there the day before playing.

Other courses designed by Yoshikazu Kato in Thailand include Blue Canyon CC, Canyon Course, Lakes Course, and Treasure Hill G&CC. He moved to Thailand and has only designed one course in Japan, The Southern Links GC in Okinawa.
