バンヤン ゴルフ クラブ

Banyan Golf Club Hua Hin

This is a hilly course built on a pineapple plantation, taking advantage of the natural terrain. The mountain scenery is stunning and harmonizes with each hole. Playing from the front tees is short and not particularly difficult, but playing from the back tees comes into play with water, bunkers and hazards, making it a very challenging course. The nine outward holes in particular are highly refined. Many of the greens are long and narrow, testing the accuracy of your shots and your sense of distance.

Course Introduction

A dogleg hole to the right. The fairway is wide from the tee, but long hitters should be careful of the pond approaching from the right. From 250 yards from the tee, the fairway narrows due to the pond on the right, and is narrowest at 270 yards. The elevated green is long and guarded by three bunkers.

A long, short hole over a pond. The long green slopes back to the left. The guard bunker in front of the green is in play.

A short middle hole with a dogleg to the right. The tee shot is downhill and the fairway slopes from left to right, so a bunker 250 yards away on the right corner comes into play. The second shot is over a creek. The green is small and back-to-back.

A slight dogleg to the right. The second shot is uphill over a creek. Beware of the four strategically placed bunkers at the landing area. The two-tiered green is long and high on the left, and does not have much vertical width, so an accurate approach shot with a wedge is required.

A difficult hole with a slight dogleg to the right. The tee shot is over trees and bushes, and the second shot is an uphill shot. The bunker guarding the left side of the long green is deep. Remnants of a pineapple plantation can be seen on this hole.

A famous short hole with beautiful scenery. It is not too difficult or long. You can enjoy a wonderful view of the valley and mountains to the right of the green and the ocean to the left. You have to hit slightly downhill to the long green. If the pin position is on the left, the bunker in front comes into play, and the green gets narrower as you go to the left, with only 10 yards behind the bunker, making it more difficult.

A straight middle hole with a slight downhill shot. The fairway is wide up to 250 yards with hazards on the right side, but after that it narrows extremely. Be careful as trees approach from the left side at the 270 yard mark. The green is vertically narrow and is guarded by a bunker and a creek on the right side. The green slopes slightly downwards, so attack from the front.

A tough, long, short hole with a slight uphill approach. The green sits at the foot of a small mountain. It is 60 yards wide and has a distinctive green that is high in the middle and slopes down on both sides.
